Description

The Ministry of Community Safety is seeking Correctional Officers for the Pine Grove Correctional Centre to support the safe and secure operation of the facility while promoting rehabilitation for adult offenders.

Responsibilities include supervising and interacting with offenders, contributing to case planning for reintegration, facilitating daily programming, interpreting and applying legislation and policy, resolving incidents using appropriate interventions and working in an interdisciplinary team environment. Candidates must have knowledge of the criminal justice system and human behaviour, strong communication and problemsolving skills, a valid Class 5 drivers licence, current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, computer proficiency and education in Social Sciences, Law Enforcement or a related combination of training and experience. Successful candidates will complete a paid 11week Induction Training Program beginning April 20, 2026.
