(1) Bachelors degree in Business or Administration with emphasis on Human Resources and/or Human Resource Diploma and three to five years experience in Human Resource management principles, practices and legislation, including human rights, labour standards, occupational health and safety and current labour law.
(2) A CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) or equivalent designation is an asset.
(3) Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Employment Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Saskatchewan Human Rights Code as well as human resource policies.
(4) Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and application to workplaces in the management of people and processes.
(5) Experience working in a paramilitary organization along with a unionized environment is considered an asset.
(6) Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate in writing or orally, very clear and concise messages.
(7) Good public relation skills and the ability to relate to and effectively deal with a diverse range of individuals.
