The Role
Reporting to the supervisor, maintenance, the heavy duty mechanic applies their expertise to ensure Rabbit Lakes mobile equipment is properly maintained and ready for service. The tradespersons commitment to safety and operational excellence significantly contributes to the overall success of our operation.
In this role, you will:
-Work primarily on surface equipment with occasional assignments underground.
-Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
-Perform preventative maintenance inspections and lubrications, troubleshoot equipment failures, execute overhauls and conduct repair work as required.
-Complete detailed work orders to support asset management and planning initiatives.
Required:
-valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson heavy duty mechanic certificate;
-five years or more of related experience with mobile heavy equipment maintenance;
-proficiency with OEM diagnostic software;
-team player with good communication skills;
-excellent safety record; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
-interest in joining Rabbit Lakes emergency response and mine rescue team;
-previous underground experience; and
-familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking systems such as SAP.
