Preparing food - Slicing and dicing fruits and vegetables, making sauces and dressings, preparing meats and grab n go items.
Cooking food - grilling, frying, baking, sauting according to recipes.
Quality control - ensuring food quality is satisfactory.
Inventory control - Examine items that need to be prepared or product that needs to be ordered.
Sanitization and safety - maintain a clean and safe work environment according to food safe standards, maintain equipment and report malfunctions to chef.
Opening and closing duties are followed as set out by Chef and Food and beverage manager.
Skills
Time mangement : manage time accordingly to complete all tasks.
Attention to detail: plating and presenting dishes in consistant manner.
ability to stand for extended periods of time and ability to lift up to 40lbs of product.
Work efficiently and productively to maintain kitchen flow.
Communication is essential with each other, must be fluent in English.
Transportation : must have reliable transportation to work.
Qualifications
at least 2 years of kitchen experience with food safe certificate, Must be legal to work in Canada and have WHMIS training.
