Responsibilities
Manage all procedures related to applications and course enrollment for the Ministry of Corrections and Policings Private Investigator and Security Guard training programs, including collecting fees, conducting basic language testing, and distributing manuals. Assist in identifying new course opportunities and advertising strategies to increase enrollment. Be willing and eligible to complete training required to become certified to teach various Corps courses.
Facilitate and instruct courses such as Private Investigator and Security Guard Training, First Aid, Use of Force, and Leadership or supervisory training. Maintain and update the training database and ensure training records and files are organized and accessible. Maintain the department filing system.
Prepare classrooms, training materials, handouts, and certificates for all courses. In collaboration with the Training Manager, assist in preparing and distributing the training schedule. Support classroom instruction by facilitating sessions, administering quizzes and tests, and providing feedback to participants. Assist with reviewing and updating training programs to ensure modern and interactive delivery methods.
Requirements
Experience in facilitation, public speaking, classroom management, and adult education is required. A valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License is required. Experience in course planning, scheduling, curriculum review, and program delivery is required. Experience in the security industry, law enforcement, or military is considered an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software quickly is required. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, tact, and discretion are essential.
