Description

Valley Hill Youth Treatment Centre is looking for a compassionate and reliable counsellor to support adolescents in a residential treatment programming addressing mental health and substance use.  This position focuses primarily on evening and weekend shifts on a permanent part-time basis with the option of fulltime as well.  
Key Responsibilities include: supervision, support, facilitation of group and individual counselling, collaborating as part of a team and documentation.
Qualifications: A Diploma in Addiction Counselling, Degree in Social Work/Indigenous Social Work or related field is required.  
Experience working with youth, mental health/addictions and understanding of Indigenous culture and spirituality as assets.  
Requirements: a Valid Class 5 Driver's License, satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.  Applicants of Indigenous ancestry are encouraged to apply.
