Description

The ministry offers a meaningful opportunity to support positive outcomes for children, families, and communities through services that promote safety, stability, and longterm wellbeing. It provides a northern work rotation with extended shifts, scheduled days off, potential staff housing, compensation for travel time, and the chance to make a direct impact in a community where support is essential. The ministry is seeking dedicated, compassionate individuals who are committed to helping children and families build stronger futures through protective, preventative, and supportive services.

We have the unique opportunity to offer candidates interested in working in our Buffalo Narrows location as a Drive In and Drive Out position, over a four (4) week average period. You will work 11-hour days (Mon-Sat) with scheduled days off.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, resilient, and able to work in a demanding environment that requires sound judgment, cultural awareness, and the ability to respond to urgent or sensitive situations. They must be comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, and be prepared to travel and transport children or families as needed. Strong communication skills, the ability to build trust, and a commitment to familycentered practice are essential. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indian Social Work, or an equivalent social work degree approved by the CASSW. A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence is required, and candidates must clearly demonstrate how their experience aligns with the role. Preference may be given to qualified Indigenous applicants.

Responsibilities include delivering child protection services, supporting families through assessment and intervention, providing emergency duty coverage, and applying the Family Centred Case Management Model to ensure safety and wellbeing. Please use link provided to view full job description.
