Description

Sanctum Care Group is a Saskatchewan nonprofit providing compassionate, holistic support to people facing complex health and social challenges, including those living with or at risk of HIV or experiencing homelessness. Our work is grounded in dignity, harm reduction, and trauma informed care.

The Communications Manager shapes how our community, donors, and partners understand our mission. This role leads storytelling, manages internal and external communications, and ensures all messaging reflects organizational values. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator, strong relationship builder, and advocate for our impact. A flexible hybrid model supports collaboration and work life balance.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain a consistent, mission aligned voice; ensure clarity, accuracy, and brand standards.
Lead content strategy; manage social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn); create posts, graphics, and promotional materials; track analytics to strengthen engagement.
Guide storytelling that highlights program outcomes and community impact; produce written, visual, and multimedia content.
Develop email campaigns, newsletters, donor communications, and stewardship messaging; support fundraising with persuasive content; draft internal updates.
Build relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders; represent the organization at events; support leadership with speeches and talking points; collaborate on fundraising events.
Oversee website updates, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
Qualifications
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience with social media management, digital tools, and content creation.
Ability to translate program outcomes into compelling narratives.
Comfortable representing the organization publicly.
Experience with donor communications, WordPress, design tools, and AI is an asset.
