About the Role
As a Labourer at Peters Excavating, you will support equipment operators in completing road construction and earthworks projects. This role involves physical work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and requires a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Labourers play an important role in keeping projects running smoothly by assisting with site preparation, material handling, and finishing work.

Key Responsibilities
Assist equipment operators and crew members on construction sites
perform manual labour including shoveling, grading, and material handling
Assist with excavation, backfilling, and site preparation
Help with fine grading and finishing work
Install and assist with catch basins and drainage components
Remove rubble and debris from construction sites
Operate hand tools and small equipment such as compactors, concrete saws, and jackhammers
Assist with snow removal operations when required
Maintain a clean and organized work site
Follow company safety policies and participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments

Qualifications
Previous construction or labour experience considered an asset
Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract preferred
Ability to work extended hours and Saturdays during construction season
Equipment operating experience or training considered an asset
Mechanical aptitude considered an asset
CSA-approved steel-toed boots required
Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
