This role leads the Coordinated Access Regina (CAR) system, ensuring individuals, families and youth who are at-risk or homeless have equitable access to culturally safe, trauma-informed, strength-based services. CAR makes recommendations and referrals for support, services and housing. CAR is a collaborative cross-sectoral community effort within the Housing First philosophy.
- Assist people to obtain housing, support and housing stability, ensuring fairness in access
- Oversee data collection timeliness and accuracy; makes improvements as necessary
- Ensure client intake protocols are followed; ensure clients are well-matched to housing and services based on needs
- Work closely with the provincial HIFIS 4 Project Mgr. to analyze and utilize data to set/monitor community level strategies and outcomes, ensuring the system is functioning well
- Convene and lead the Community Capacity & Innovation Group and its Indigenous Advisory Committee for policy and process reviews and updates; ensure all CAR partner organizations adhere to policies and procedures
- Maintain the system map of all programs and services; ensure the partner inventory is updated
- Collaborate with the Reaching Home, Community Entity as well as community organizations, government, landlords and other entities to identify, improve and integrate new supports and services
- Provide strategic input for community investments and supports
- Lead information sessions and make presentations to stakeholders regarding housing changes, opportunities and results
- Advocate and provide input in support of under-served populations and non-existing services
- Complete financial and data-driven reports
