Description

Nipawin Housing Authority (NHA) manages a program and property services portfolio on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.   The Housing Authority provides affordable housing to senior, families and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter in Nipawin and area.    

The Housing Authority has an opportunity for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join their team.  If you have excellent organizational skills, are able to handle a high-volume workload and thrive in a team environment, this position may be of interest to you!  

In this front-line administrative position, you will:

Handle incoming inquiries, relaying information and providing information on housing programs and creating maintenance work orders
Receive payments, issue receipts, verify and prepare bank deposits
Review payment vouchers for accuracy
Prepare recurring billing, monthly statements and month end reports
Maintain general office and maintenance file systems

Requirements:
Efficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of basic office and accounting procedures
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide professional service to clients/customers

Qualifications:
Grade 12 supplemented by an accredited business or accounting program
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of Saskatchewan laws regarding landlord and tenant regulations and property management experience are assets.
A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle.

A satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (Criminal record check) will be required, upon hire.
