Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Carpenter/Labourer at our Homes by Lake Country Co-op site in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. We are looking for energetic and motivated Carpenters, 1st, 2nd, 3rd year or equivalent, with experience in construction carpentry and experience on a construction site to work under a Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in carpentry and eager to learn from experienced professionals in a hands-on environment.

Reporting to the Site Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Assist skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites.
Load and unload materials, move materials to work areas.
Assist with erecting and dismantling of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades.
Operate and maintain various power tools; tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
A have a carpentry certificate or any of the levels of carpentry technical/apprenticeship process, provincial Journeyperson status is an asset. You are willing and able to obtain the required safety tickets: First Aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift, and Telehandler certification.
You have the ability to fulfil physical job requirements typical to the construction industry.
