Join our Collections Team and support customers, partner agencies, and City departments by providing Water and Waste bill collection and Tax Enforcement services. You will manage complex inquiries, negotiate payment plans, take enforcement action when required, and apply your strong knowledge of statutes, bylaws, and collection practices. This role handles a high volume of advanced calls and plays an important part in protecting City revenue.
What You Bring
- Strong customer service skills with experience in account collection and complex inquiries
- Sound judgment with the ability to analyze accounts and apply collection and enforcement practices
- Clear communication skills and confidence in working with customers, lawyers, agencies, and internal teams
- Knowledge of relevant acts, bylaws, and billing systems along with the ability to perform detailed calculations
