The Prevention Services Manager is directly accountable to the Executive Director and is responsible for managing the preventive activities and support services that will enhance the well-being and social functioning of the family unit, as well as provide support for those who have been affected by an individual or family crisis
Responsibilities Include:
Provide guidance, leadership, and supervision for assigned program areas and projects.
Program area responsibilities may change from year .
Responsible for all personnel decisions including but not limited to staffing, progressive discipline,
staff evaluations, training needs. etc.
Provide a healthy and productive work environment that reflects the MLCFA mission statement and values.
Provide direction to staff with regards to new applications, case planning and reviews.
Assist in the development and monitoring of work plans.
Be on call after regular working hours periodically to attend to pressing issues.
Monitor expenses, monthly fiscal reports of appropriate utilization of facility resources and review quarterly with MLCFA Board of Directors.
Provide weekly reports to the Executive Director for feedback and support.
Assist in development of case plans for individual and families.
Work with other MLCFA services as needed by attending regular case review meetings.
Qualifications:
Minimum diploma in Social Work, Indigenous Social Worker or Psychology
Minimum 2-year experience in a supervisory position.
Extensive Knowledge of maternal and child health issues, particularly as it applies to the prevention of disabilities in children.
