They are seeking six citizencentred, collaborative, empathetic Income Assistance Workers who can support diverse individuals and families facing barriers such as addictions, mental illness, disability, and unemployment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fastpaced, crisisdriven environment, manages multiple priorities, and communicates clearly in person, by phone, virtually, and in writing. They should demonstrate respect for multicultural perspectives, especially First Nations and Mtis, and understand social issues such as poverty, systemic barriers, and diversity. Strong skills in motivational interviewing, supportive interactions, conflict management, budgeting concepts, and interpreting policy and legislation are essential. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
Knowledge for the role is typically gained through education or experience in humanservice fields such as Social Work, Indigenous Social Work, Sociology, Human Justice, Psychology, or related areas. Candidates must be able to work effectively with clients, community partners, and other ministries, balancing caseload demands while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
