The overall scope of your position will include, but will not be limited to:
1.Identify and evaluate domestic and international suppliers for grocery and specialty food products to ensure reliable product supply and competitive pricing.
2.Plan and coordinate the purchasing of grocery products, including fresh, frozen, and packaged food items, based on sales trends and inventory levels.
3.Communicate and negotiate with suppliers regarding product pricing, order quantities, delivery schedules, and purchasing agreements.
4.Prepare and process purchase orders, monitor order status, and ensure timely delivery of goods to the warehouse or retail locations.
5.Coordinate with international suppliers and logistics providers regarding shipping arrangements, documentation, and import procedures.
6.Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to forecast purchasing needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
7.Review supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure product quality and supply stability.
8.Work closely with warehouse and store management to ensure purchased products meet operational requirements and customer demand.
9.Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
10.Analyze market trends and product availability to recommend new products that meet customer demand.
11.Research and source specialty Asian food products from international suppliers to maintain product variety and authenticity for customers.
