Job Description: The Payroll and Benefits Technician is accountable for providing a timely, efficient and accurate Payroll/Benefit service to the staff of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. This positions supports the Payroll Team.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- One (1) year experience performing payroll & accounting functions
Other Education and Training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Grade 12 plus a certificate in Accounting
- Classes in the Certified Management Accounting Program are an asset
- Working with a unionized environment and interpreting CBA language is an asset
Knowledge and Abilities
- Typing speed of 55 wpm
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
