Description

The Ministry of Advanced Education offers a permanent fulltime Business Analyst role supporting reliable, efficient, and policyaligned postsecondary and student financial aid systems. The ministry seeks a collaborative, analytical professional who can gather business needs, develop clear requirements, translate complex rules into system specifications, and support continuous system improvement. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, detailoriented, adaptable, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, including product owners, developers, IT partners, vendors, and federal counterparts. They should understand enterprise systemsideally Oraclebasedalong with data flows, integrations, secure file transfers, and structured testing processes. Strong communication skills are essential for explaining system impacts to both technical and nontechnical audiences and for providing training and support to users. A bachelors degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field, along with significant experience in a similar role, is required; experience in financial organizations is an asset. Responsibilities include leading requirements and user story development, analyzing workflows and data, preparing business cases, supporting design and testing of system changes, resolving integration issues, maintaining documentation, and contributing to stable operations of financial aid and postsecondary program systems.
