Join Our Culinary Team at the Historic Grant Hall

The Grant Hall Hotel, a designated National Historic Site and a landmark in downtown Moose Jaw, is seeking a skilled and passionate cook to join our esteemed culinary team. We invite you to bring your expertise to our historic establishment.

As our Cook, you will be a creative force behind our new menu offerings, responsible for delivering the exceptional quality and consistency that defines our dining experience. You will have the opportunity to help build our reputation for culinary excellence from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist in creating a diverse and appealing menu; prepare a wide variety of dishes, including entrees, appetizers, and features, to the highest standards.

- Meticulously select the freshest ingredients, including meats, produce, and dry goods, to ensure dish quality and flavor.

- Manage your station efficiently, monitor food stock levels, and assist in placing orders to maintain optimal inventory.

- Work closely with serving staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, paying special attention to guest requests and dietary allergies.

- Maintain impeccable attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, presentation, and flavor balancing using a variety of herbs, spices, and sauces.

- Prepare complementary dishes such as soups, salads, sides, and desserts that align with the overall philosophy of our kitchen.


Qualifications:

- Completion of secondary school is usually required.

- Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety or several years of commercial cooking experience may be required.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
