The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety offers a permanent fulltime Facility Youth Worker role at Kilburn Hall Youth Centre, supporting safe custody, rehabilitation, and positive change for youth offenders. A Class 5 drivers licence, First Aid/CPR certification, strong writing and verbal skills, and proficiency with computer systems are required. Education typically includes a degree in the social sciences, a law enforcement diploma, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and security, providing assessment, counselling, program delivery, case management, interpreting legislation and policy, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and responding to incidents using safe, appropriate interventions.
