DUTIES
Network & Infrastructure Management
Assist in design, implement, monitor, and maintain wired and wireless networks.
Manage virtualized environments.
Systems Administration
Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications.
Implement proactive maintenance plans for servers and endpoints.
Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Cybersecurity
Monitor and enforce security policies.
Conduct threat detection and incident response.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., FOIP).
Database & Application Support
Collaborate with vendors to resolve SQL database issues.
Support enterprise applications and municipal software systems.
End-User Support
Provide hardware and software troubleshooting for staff.
Assist employees on IT systems and applications.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports.
Document processes and create user guides as needed.

Education
Two-year diploma in Computer Systems Technology or equivalent.
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified) considered an asset.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Experience & Additional Requirements
Minimum 1 year of municipal or enterprise IT experience.
Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
