We are seeking a skilled and passionate Optometric Assistant/Optician to join our team for a full-time role, Tuesday to Saturday (evening and weekend availability is required).
Job Summary:
As an Optometric Assistant/Optician, you will play a vital role in our practice by assisting patients with checking in, answering phone calls, managing patient records, processing payments, performing pre-testing, and processing payments. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, ensuring patient satisfaction, and contributing to a positive and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients in checking in, maintaining their patient record
Answer calls, schedule appointments
Perform pre-testing before the eye examination
Provide expert advice on eyewear options and care; interpret optical prescriptions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Deliver exceptional customer service.
Collaborate with other members of the eyecare team.
Contribute to any other tasks around the clinic during quieter times
Qualifications:
A valid, registered Optician License is preferred, but not required.
Previous experience in an optical setting is preferred, but not required.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge and skilled in Microsoft Office and clinical softwares (Optosys, VisualEyes, Wink, etc)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
