Description

Carmichael Outreach Inc. is a registered nonprofit organization serving individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, and complex social challenges in Regina. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Manager to lead and support our volunteer program across multiple services and initiatives.

The Volunteer Manager is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, and retention of volunteers. This role ensures volunteers are effectively integrated into programming while maintaining safety, professionalism, and clear boundaries. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic, frontline service environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, screen, onboard, and train volunteers
Coordinate and manage volunteer schedules and placements
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to volunteers
Ensure volunteers follow organizational policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements
Address volunteer concerns, performance issues, and conflicts professionally
Maintain accurate volunteer records and track participation
Support volunteer recognition and engagement initiatives
Collaborate with staff to align volunteer support with program needs

Experience & Qualifications:
35 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or program support
Experience recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and sound judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
Experience in a nonprofit or social services setting is an asset
