Description

The Workforce Planning and Development Branch is offering a term opportunity for a Workforce Planning Coordinator from May 2026 to January 2027. The ministry seeks an initiativetaking, detailoriented, and collaborative individual to support staffing and talent attraction activities. The role provides dynamic work, a positive and inclusive environment, training and support, comprehensive benefits, leave options, and career development opportunities.

The successful candidate will manage staffing administration, including creating and posting competitions, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and administering assessments. They will serve as the first point of contact for candidates, maintain highvolume communication, ensure compliance with hiring procedures, and manage a busy inbox. The position also involves tailoring staffing tools, collaborating with stakeholders to maximize exposure of employment opportunities, liaising with external organizations, and coordinating recruitment engagement events such as career fairs and information sessions.

The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple recruitment processes, works accurately under tight timelines, and communicates professionally with candidates and stakeholders. They demonstrate strong judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a provincial team. Initiative, confidentiality, adaptability, and professionalism are essential.

Qualifications typically include a twoyear Business Administration diploma, experience in a similar role, knowledge of HR policies and competencybased staffing, proficiency with HR databases such as Taleo, advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with office management and government administrative protocols.
