The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the timely shipments of finished goods and for keeping accurate records of inventory. The Shipper/Receiver will have great skill in operating a forklift and possess good organizational skills. This position requires a courteous helpful attitude, the ability to multi-task and operate well in a changing fast pace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
    Professionally represents the company as a shipping/receiving point of contact for transport/shipping companies
    Picks and prepares customer orders for shipment
    Loads products into transport trailer and process necessary shipping requirements adhering to Avenas Foods Safety policy
    Receives and process requisitions from multiple departments (ex. QA  Retest, Production  Milling & Packaging, etc.)
    Processes warehouse transactions using computerized ERP & warehouse management system
    Handles all other duties and problems associated with the warehouse (ex. Cleaning, etc.)
Qualifications:
    High School Diploma is preferred
    2 years of experience in preferred
    Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management, food processing, packaging and food safety would be an asset
    Minimum 2 years of lift Truck experience/Certification
    Computer literacy
    Excellent organizational skills
    Aptitude with numbers
    Attention to detail and accuracy
    Ability to lift 22kg (50lbs)
    Valid Drivers License and access to personal vehicle are mandatory as position may be required to work at secondary warehouse.
