About:
The Creating Opportunities Strategy is a Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre program targeted to low-income individuals with multiple barriers to employment. The program is designed to meet each individual where they currently sit on the pre-employment spectrum. Creating Opportunities involves a mix of workshop facilitation, supported work experience placements, free public workshops and certifications, job coaching, and much more.
Job purpose
The Learning Pathways Facilitator plans and facilitates short learning opportunities for community members. The Learning Pathway Facilitator takes the lead role in the curriculum development, facilitation, and marketing of the Learning Pathway and collaborates with other SFBLC staff to implement workshops.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop employability skills workshops and curriculum; research new developments in the area of employability skills
Keep curriculum effective and up-to-date.
Facilitate classes (online and in person) to program participants.
Monitor progress of each participant
Provide assessments, outcomes, and statistical information to the Program Manager
Contribute innovative ideas related to the overall strategic direction for the pathway.
Assist Learning Pathway participants in determining short and long-term goals as needed
Collaborate with other staff to support further educational or employment pursuits of participants
Research additional training/resources/opportunities for participants to support their personal and professional goals
