Description

Leadership
Provide leadership and oversight to departmental operations, including Administration, Finance, Housing, Education, and other programs as assigned.
Support, supervise, and mentor department managers and senior staff
Implement decisions, policies, and strategic direction approved by Chief & Council
Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations to leadership

Financial & Administrative Oversight
Work closely with the Finance Department to support budgeting, financial controls, and reporting
Ensure compliance with funding agreements, audits, and financial policies
Oversee administrative systems, records management, and internal controls
Support grant management, reporting deadlines, and accountability requirements
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and funding requirements
Support workplace health and safety, human resources policies, and employment standards

Community & Stakeholder Relations
Act as a professional liaison with funding agencies, government partners, and external organizations
Support respectful engagement with community members and staff
Represent the Nation in meetings and operational discussions as directed

Qualifications
University Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Knowledge of funding agreements, governance structures, and accountability requirements
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple departments and competing priorities
Ability to work respectfully within a political and community-based environment
Commitment to confidentiality and ethical leadership
