The Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally responsive instruction to support student learning and achievement. This role plans and implements curriculum, assesses student progress, and creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The Teacher works collaboratively with school staff, families, and the community while respecting First Nation values, traditions, and educational goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver instruction aligned with provincial curriculum.
Develop lesson plans and learning activities that meet diverse student needs.
Assess, evaluate, and report on student progress
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and school staff.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Support Staff well-being and inclusive education practises.
Integrate culturally relevant and community-based learning where appropriate.
Supervise students as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Education, with a valid Saskatchewan Professional Teaching Certificate
Be registered with the Saskatchewan Teachers Professional Regulatory Board (STPRB)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
CPIC/Vulnerable Sector Check will be required to provide a current and satisfactory document
upon being the successful candidate.
Teaching Certificate, Confirmation of Years of Teaching Service must be provided immediately
upon being the successful candidate.
