Description

The Cumberland House Housing Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full time Building Services Level 1 worker to join their team!  This position can be located in either Cumberland House or Nipawin, and may involve weekly travel between locations.  If you are ambitious, results focused, a self-starter, and skilled in building and property maintenance we would love to hear from you!

The Position:
-Perform building unit maintenance services and repairs
-Groundskeeping, and maintaining housing authority equipment and inventory
-Record keeping, such as inventory and purchase orders

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Basic knowledge of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
-Experience servicing and repairing building mechanical equipment
-Ability to use hand and power tools and lift heavy loads

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 education, basic computer skills, and some hands on experience in maintenance and repair OR an equivalent combination is required
-Ability to participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
