MLTC BioEnergy Centre is a power production facility located east of Meadow Lake, SK and owned by the nine First Nations of the Meadow Lake Tribal Council. We utilize biomass as fuel to produce and supply electricity as part of power purchasing agreement with SaskPower.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and controls, electrical motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Assist in the preparation of procedures and follow procedures in the course of their work.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications, and test electrical and electronic equipment and components.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Continuously evaluate and analyze electrical quality and safety processes and procedures.
Model and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket as a journeyperson electrician
Preferably five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson electrician
Proven track record of promoting and practicing a safe work environment
Strong team player with good communication skills
Basic computer skills
Electrician experience in a power production environment is an asset
