Description

Responsibilities
- Monitor public activities in and around the swimming pool
- Ensure adherence to rules and safety regulations
- Perform rescues, artificial respiration and first aid as required
- Organize and implement the Lifesaving Society lessons
- Perform pool maintenance and facility maintenance as required
- Water quality maintenance
- Have knowledge of the chemical and filter operations and maintenance
- Supervision of other staff will be required
- Assisting in event planning
- All aspects of the start-up and shut down of the swimming pool as shared with pool manager
- Other duties as assigned by the Pool Manager/Recreation Director

Requirements
- National Lifeguard Certificate (NL)
- Lifesaving Society Instructor Certificate (LSI)
- Water Safety Instructor Certificate (WSI)
- Aquatic Emergency Care
- Standard First Aid and CPR C
- WHMIS
- Swimming Pool Operators Course
