Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Human Resource Manager, the dedicated and reliable Human Resource Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting the Human Resource (HR) team by delivering timely, accurate services and assisting with a wide range of administrative activities. These include recruitment support, onboarding and offboarding, employee record management, time-tracking support,
benefits and payroll administration, and compliance, all while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.
Coordinate interview scheduling, including arranging appropriate meeting spaces.
Print interview guides for panel members and, when needed, participate as part of the interview panel.
Conduct reference checks for shortlisted candidates to support the hiring process.
Draft offer letters, termination notices, and contracts for review and approval by the Human Resource Manager, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
Completion of a college/university certificate or diploma in Administration or related field is preferred, and/or a combination of education and experience would be considered.
One (1) year of experience in a Human Resource or Business Administration role would be an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, computerized Human Resource systems, or other beneficial tools.
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing a positive experience for all staff.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on building positive relationships.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in processing information.
Dependable and reliable in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge and understanding of First Nations people, the cultures,
communities, service agencies, and political structures.
