Description

Armand Bekkattla Treatment Centre is recruiting for an Addictions Counsellor Position.

The applicant will work with the existing treatment centre counselling staff in deliverying a holistic, community development alcohol recovery program.

All interested applicants need to demonstrate the following qualifications:

A Chemical Dependency/Addictions Counselling Diploma or equivalent course
An understanding of addictions programming and treatment programs
Proven presentation and facilitation preparation and delivery skills
Exceptional communication ? written, verbal & interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, work well under pressure and be self motivated
Reliable, trustworthy & discreet in order to maintain confidentiality
Must lead a life of sobriety
Ability to speak the Dene language & understand the culture and values
Experience working with computers
Ability to work as a team member
Group counseling and one to one counselling skills

SALARY RANGE:  Based on experience and qualifications.
