Description

Away We Grow Before and After School Program is seeking a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic team member to join our program. This role involves working with school-aged children in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment before and after the school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, supports play-based learning, and is committed to creating positive experiences for every child in the program.

Responsibilities
Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of children in the program.
Create a warm, inclusive, and welcoming environment where children feel safe, respected, and supported.
Plan and implement engaging, play-based activities that reflect the interests, needs, and developmental stages of school-aged children.
Follow program attendance procedures and supervision protocols at all times.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
Support childrens social development by encouraging cooperation, independence, and problem-solving.
Assist with the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals and snacks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe program environment.
Follow all Away We Grow policies and procedures, as well as Child Care & Early Years regulations.

Qualifications
Current Standard First Aid with Infant/Child CPR & AED (Level C).
Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
Experience working with school-aged children in a childcare or recreation setting is an asset.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to engage children in positive, active, and creative play experiences.
