About Us
McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

The Role
As a key member of the process team, you will support the operational needs of McArthur Rivers process circuits with a primary focus on underground grinding operations. This is a 12-month temporary position.

In this role, you will:
-work closely with process operators, supervisors, and metallurgists to support process operations, process troubleshooting, and laboratory/field studies.
-complete data collection, analysis, and environmental reporting while following QA/QC guidelines.
-drive continuous improvement in the laboratory by streamlining data collection analysis.
-troubleshoot laboratory equipment and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation as needed.
-work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.

Required:  
-technical diploma in chemistry, metallurgy or processing;
-three to five years of relevant analytical or metallurgical lab experience;
-equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
-team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
-willing to work underground in a mining environment; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:
-previous experience working in an industrial environment;
-previous experience operating an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS);
-Excel and/or AVEVA PI system knowledge; and
-LIMS and/or SAP experience.

Conditions of Employment:
-pre-employment substance test.
