A recently incorporated company (2024), Bourgault Machines INC., is in the process of developing an extensive line of innovative products for skid loaders, tractors, wheel loaders, telehandlers, and other motorized equipment. It is also currently in the process of building a new, state of the art, 32,000 square foot factory and office complex at St. Brieux, Saskatchewan with move-in starting in June. Bourgault Machines INC. is looking for an experienced metal fabricator (mainly steel) to build prototype attachments and to build jigs, fixtures and tooling for production. A candidate must have the level of welding and related fabricating skills to be able to produce high quality work when it comes to dimensions, fit, finish and trueness. This person would also be required to provide feedback to the product designers and the jigs/fixtures/tooling designers by making suggestions for improving their designs to promote a high level of manufacturing efficiency. This individual would report to the Product Development Leader, but would also work with the Production Engineering Leader. To become a successful candidate, this person must have previously demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously in a team environment.
The wage range is from $30.00 per hour to $45.00 per hour, plus benefits, depending on experience and fabrication capabilities, as well as depending on other qualifications. This would be a day job (no afternoon or night shift) but there may be some occasional overtime requirements that would be situationally dependent given the large task of launching a new manufacturing company.
Benefits include:
Health Insurance and Health Spending Account (after qualification period)
Graduated, Matching RRSP (after qualification period)
