Overview:
As part of the Department of Community & Leisure Services, the City of Humboldt is seeking to fill 1 seasonal Campground Groundskeeper position. This position is expected to start early May and is anticipated to last until approximately October 12th, 2026.
Under the direction of the Parks Supervisor, this employee will be working at the Humboldt Historic Campground and Visitor Information Centre.
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming campground facilities. Key tasks include general outdoor maintenance such as painting, trimming and pulling weeds, cleaning washrooms and common areas, and preparing campsites for guest arrival. Additional duties may include light landscaping, litter collection, and supporting day-to-day campground operations as needed.
Compensation & Hours of Work:
-This is an in-scope (union) position under CUPE 2359. Starting rate of pay is $19.07 per hour (2025 rate)
-General work schedule is Thursday to Sunday from 10:15 am - 8:15 pm with a working lunch break.
