Description

Structural Engineering Summer Student (4-Month Term)
Pearson Engineering Ltd. provides structural engineering services for buildings in the residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial sectors across Saskatchewan and Alberta. Our office is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
We are seeking a motivated 2nd or 3rd year Civil/Structural Engineering student to join our team for a 4-month summer term. Start and end dates are flexible.
This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering design and construction, while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
    Assist with structural design of concrete, steel, and wood building components
    Support engineers with structural calculations and analysis
    Assist with preparation of engineering drawings and design details
    Conduct site visits and field reviews with senior engineers
    Assist in preparing site visit and field review reports
    Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings
    Communicate with engineers, clients, contractors, and consultants as required
Qualifications
    Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering with an interest in Structural Engineering
    Completed 2nd or 3rd year of an accredited engineering program
    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    Ability to work both independently and within a team
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is an asset
    Exposure to structural design software is considered an asset
    Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
