Job Description: Under the direction of the Clinical Integration Home Health Manager, the Program Development Educator (PDE) integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) models of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming. In collaboration with the Manager, the PDE is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. The Program Development Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to care staff and managers in Primary Health Care Services in the SHA. Position will have specific responsibilities related to electronic health record systems, specialized client needs and clinical knowledge needs within the Primary Health Care service line.
