Description

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a proactive, creative and collaborative Senior Policy Analyst to support agrienvironmental policy within the Policy Branch. The ministry contributes to a thriving and sustainable agriculture sector and offers meaningful work that supports one of Saskatchewans worldleading industries. The role provides the opportunity to work with senior leaders, influence policy direction, and contribute to strategies that address environmental issues affecting western Canadian agriculture.

They are looking for a highly organized, selfmotivated professional who excels at analyzing complex issues, developing policy options, and communicating clearly to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate is a strong relationshipbuilder who values teamwork and can work effectively with colleagues across ministries, governments and stakeholder groups. The position requires someone who can manage projects and committees, coordinate processes, and ensure highquality deliverables are completed on time.

Key skills include the ability to research and evaluate policy options, synthesize complex information, write clearly and persuasively, and present issues effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain productive working relationships are essential. Candidates typically bring an undergraduate or masters degree in Environment and Sustainability, Public Policy, Agricultural Economics or a related field with a policy or agriculture focus.
