The Student Shop Helper is responsible for assistance in the general repair and maintenance of the school divisions fleet of vehicles.

Assignment and Term:
This position is a temporary full-time job. The position consists of 8 hours/day and will be in accordance with the 12-month employee calendar.
The position commences July 6, 2026 and expires August 28, 2026 and the work schedule will be determined. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.
The duties of a Shop Summer Student are to:
-General repair and maintenance of the Division bus fleet to ensure student transportation is provided with due regard for safety.
Assist in mechanical duties to industry standards of safety and efficiency
-Assist in the completion of an annual safety inspection of all buses in compliance with SGI school bus and bus inspection certificate requirements.
-Other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor
