Description

Preferred Energy Inc. is looking to recruit an HSE Advisor to work in their Estevan office. This will be a fulltime role that be responsible for assisting our Safety Lead. The ideal candidate has experience with oilfield safety regulations, strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
-Establish and maintain effective relationships with field personnel through frequent scheduled visits to construction sites for regular inspections, behavior-based observations, and field audits.
-Plan, coordinate, and implement programs and processes to reduce and eliminate injuries, illnesses, environmental damage, and financial losses while maintaining regulatory compliance and company standards.
-Provide support and guidance on incident response.
-Help conduct incident investigations, causal analyses, incident reviews, and work with leadership to develop appropriate corrective actions and dissemination of lessons learned.
-Coordinate emergency response training, planning and implementation of drills and response.
-Conduct, participate and review safety inspections and observations, quality reviews, trend and analyze, and assisting in the completion of corrective actions as required.
-Support development, implementation, tracking, and monitor and review effectiveness of the hazard assessment program.
-Track and monitor safety data and trends to report and province recommendations to Management and the Safety Lead.  
-Maintain current compliance data needed for sites such as ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, etc.


Qualifications:
-3+ years experience in Health & Safety related work in the oil and gas industry.
-Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs.
-Self starter willing to collaborate, work independent and handle a variety of tasks.
-Strong written and verbal communication required.
-Possess and maintain a drivers license and have a clean abstract.
