Description

Special Olympics Saskatchewan (SOS) is seeking a Director of Community, Programs & Operations to provide leadership and operational oversight for provincial sport programs, community initiatives, and related systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role balances strategic leadership with hands-on management in a province-wide non-profit sport organization.
Key Responsibilities:
    Contribute to organizational strategic and financial planning as well as sport development priorities.
    Lead and oversee SOS sport programs, competitions, Games participation, and community initiatives
    Supervise and support program and operations staff, volunteers, and committees
    Oversee program budgets, participation tracking, and operational systems
    Manage Games participation (provincial, national, and multi-sport events)
    Lead sport development, coaching development, and NCCP administration
    Ensure compliance with Special Olympics Canada standards, Safe Sport, and accreditation requirements
    Maintain strong relationships with Special Olympics Canada, sport organizations, and community partners
    Provide leadership for volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition initiatives.
    Manage community accreditation and registration processes and oversee the distribution of Member Assistance Program funding.
    Manage chapter accreditation.
    Support the development and implementation of program policies in collaboration with the Executive Director.
    Ensure effective financial planning and operational oversight for program activities.
