The Youth Ecosystem Program Lead will provide crosscommunity coordination and technical support to the four Youth Ecosystem Teams during the field season and plan development phase. This role strengthens consistency, mentorship, and timely delivery of the Ecosystem Management and Restoration Plans. The project brings together 4 First Nation communities to collaboratively assess, conserve, and manage their ecosystems in southern Saskatchewans Prairie Pothole Region (PPR). The project will build inter-community capacity to manage and conserve these lands, focusing on biodiversity, climate change adaptation, and GHG reduction strategies. By integrating traditional knowledge, local expertise, and scientific approaches, the project will map ecosystems using drone-based multi-spectral imaging, LiDAR, and participatory mapping.
