Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Proactively assists customers and team members, using strong math skills and an outgoing

attitude. Takes initiative, asks questions, and is eager to learn all aspects of products and

services. Willingly helps others and quickly retains and applies new information.


Engage with customers in the selling of new metal products, ensuring they have the right

material for their needs.

Assist with the intake of Scrap metal.

Customer service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with

enquiries, providing information, and resolve any issues that may arise.

Utilize sales techniques to encourage customers in making purchases that match their

needs while offering appropriate pricing.

Product knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the products being sold,

including their properties, uses and how they can be utilized in various applications.

Utilize software to track sales performance and manage inventory.

Oversee sales activities, monitoring sales performance and making adjustments as

necessary.

Utilize and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

Process and display incoming sales floor inventory.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

Minimum of Grade 12 required.

Minimum 12 years in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or service

environments.

Proven ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers, both in person

and over the phone.

Familiarity with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and basic record-keeping.

Demonstrated experience resolving customer inquiries, complaints, or service issues

efficiently.

Experience working effectively as part of a team to meet service and operational goals.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to

detail.
