Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of a warehouse worker is to ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate
handling, storage, and movement of steel products. This includes receiving and inspecting
incoming materials, organizing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean,
hazard-free workspace. By supporting smooth warehouse operations, the role helps maintain
production flow, meet customer demands, and uphold quality and safety standards.
Move, store, and load materials using hand or machinery, including operating forklifts.
Sort, count, and unpack incoming and outgoing products. Maintain and operate
warehouse equipment and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret measurements, fractions and decimals, physical strength to
lift heavy items (Up to 50 pounds), knowledge of safety procedures, and proficiency in
using hand and power tools.
This role involves working in various environments and may require lifting, bending, and
working in extreme temperatures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or materials handling experience is an asset;
experience with metal products is highly desirable.
Forklift certification and/or experience operating pallet jacks and other material-handling
equipment is an advantage (training may be provided).
Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer skills is beneficial.
Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy metal materials safely.
Willingness to follow all workplace safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.
