Summer Student JobReporting to the Manager of Member Engagement, the Community Planner is an outgoing, relationship-focused role responsible for supporting and delivering member engagement initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with a wide range of people and acting as a visible, approachable representative of the organization.
The Community Planner supports the planning and coordination of programs for the downtown community, ensuring member needs are understood and reflected in organizational initiatives. Key responsibilities include engaging with members, encouraging participation, conducting member visits, and supporting social media engagement.
This role also provides administrative support to member engagement activities, including post-event follow-up, gathering member feedback through surveys, scheduling recurring meetings, and maintaining accurate database and website content.
The Community Planner position is seasonal from May 4, 2026 to September 4, 2026.
In the absence of the Manager of Member Engagement, the Community Planner reports to the Manager of Marketing and Communications.
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. As a result, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee protection under Canadian law
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
