Description

As a locally owned and family-operated funeral home, we take pride in being an active and supportive part of the community we serve. We are currently seeking a compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as a Casual Funeral Home Attendant / Transfer Person.

This role plays an important part in the care we provide to families during some of life's most difficult moments. The position is casual/on-call, with hours that may include evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the transfer of deceased individuals from homes, hospitals, and care facilities into our care, always maintaining dignity and respect
- Support funeral directors during visitations, services, and memorials
- Prepare and maintain chapels and reception areas for services
-Ensure funeral home vehicles and facilities are kept clean and presentable
-Provide professional and compassionate assistance to families and guests
-Work collaboratively with our team to uphold the high standard of care our community expects


Qualifications

-A caring and respectful nature, with the ability to handle sensitive situations
-Reliable and flexible, with availability for on-call shifts
-Valid driver's license and clean driving record
-Ability to assist with lifting and transfers
-Strong sense of professionalism and discretion
-Experience in the funeral profession is an asset, but training will be provided
