Description

The YMCA of Regina (operating in Regina & Moose Jaw) excels at delivering programming focused on our three pillars of service: community development, childcare health fitness, & aquatics.
Reporting to the Director of Child, Youth, & Camp Programs, the role will provide day-to-day program leadership, supports staff development & supervision, & ensure programs are delivered in alignment with YMCA values, policies, & standards.  Camp programs serve children ages 4-5 and 6-12 years & include a range of physical activity, sport development, arts, science exploration, & community engagement experiences.

Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, & support the daily delivery of Summer Day Camp programming in alignment with established program outlines & YMCA standards.
Ensure activities are inclusive, engaging, age-appropriate, & support personal, social, & physical development.
Monitor program quality & make adjustments as needed to meet participant needs & program goals.
Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, & supportive environment for all campers.
Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, & behavioral situations, following YMCA policies & procedures.
Ensure adherence to YMCA Child Safeguarding & Protection Policies
Build positive relationships with campers, families, & staff to foster trust, belonging, & engagement.

Job Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Child & Youth Care, Recreation, Education, Kinesiology, Early Childhood Education
Min 2 years experience working with children and/or youth
Previous leadership experience
Standard First Aid & CPR-C
Criminal Record Chick with Vulnerable Sector Search within 3 months of start date
HIGH Five Principles of Healthy Child Development (asset)
NCCP Foundations or other leadership training (asset)
