Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Meat Team Leader onsite at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan.

Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide an exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels.
Assist in building and leading a high-performance team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency.
Ensure the department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards.
Assist customers with product selection, custom cuts, and special orders.
Operate and maintain meat cutting, processing, and refrigeration equipment safely.
Provide superior leadership to deli team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and feedback.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Oversee the completion of daily reports, reconciliations, and purchases.
Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures.
You have your high school diploma or relevant experience, approved retail meat cutting course or previous retail meat cutting experience especially in the Co-operative Retailing System would be considered assets.
You have 1-2 years of experience in a Meat department, grocery store, or food service environment, Co-operative Retailing System experience is an asset.
You have experience with meat products and food preparation techniques, and production planning.
